Lovely Early 1900's ALLIGATOR Tail
Skin CLUTCH Purse
(#G1v-56)
Absolutely lovely chocolate brown early 1900's alligator tail skin clutch! In case you haven't noticed,
we LOVE these old girls! Skins are in soft, supple condition and feature the tail skins that wrap in one solid hide from back to front and solid brass hardware with dual top locks. This undoubtedly had handle hardware at some point, but you wouldn't know it by looking at it. Frame
is covered in skin. but has a few minor spots where the skin is worn through to expose the metal frame below - nothing major and typical for these bags made in this circa. Interior
is a mustard genuine leather
with one long side pocket. There is a very small hole in the lining on the left hand side, and it appears that there was writing by the original owner on the interior top right by the frame that someone unfortunately removed. A wonderful, fully usable piece of history!
